State 48 Overland truly appreciates your business and order with us. We always encourage you to call us and go over your situation. Being in some of the positions as outlined below just plain sucks and we really sympathize with your situation. In order to sustain as a small business, we have to keep a strict policy in place as we are not an Amazon type company with a loose based return policy on such high end off-road parts.
While most products are received timely and in perfect condition, there is always a chance for the one off. It is very important you the end line customer do some research and get acclimated with each manufacturer warranty and guarantee for products you have purchased. Fill out those pesky product registration cards. Call them direct-ask questions so you are prepared for the just in case moment. Keep a copy of your invoice handy in an email folder. Keep track of your stuff!
For products that have already been installed or used, please note that each manufacturer has their own policy in place given the situation or reason for the warranty request (such as product failure, integrity, or failed customer installation subject to their examination and inspection). Most if not all the time, once the product has already been received, used or installed, manufacturers require that you go to them directly for product warranty issues with appropriate documentation. We will not assist any manufacturer on any warranty claim if they redirect back to us. In short the chain of custody for the product ends with you, as the customer.
Unless there was an error on our end regarding your purchase such as receiving a product that was different than what your invoice shows, we consider all sales as final. We do however reserve the right to consider a refund for returning un-used and un-installed products at your own shipping expense. (Returned products are subject to 15% re-stocking fees, cancelled orders are subject to 3% fees for credit card charge reimbursements back to State 48 Overland)
Damaged, scratched, gouged or rusted surface finishes on goods received that are raw, painted or powder coated items, such as but not limited to suspension, lighting, electrical, gears, lockers, bumpers, sliders, suspension, tailgate panels, bed racks are not warrantied or refundable by State 48 Overland.
We do not refund, credit or resend new products where the recipient/customer has allegedly not received their order, but has been issued tracking number with the tracking data showing that it's in a "delivered status" to the address, zip code or P.O. Box listed on your invoice. We can only process claims on our end as the sender, if the status shows lost or returned to the sender in which we can make a claim with the carrier.
We not responsible for package theft, damaged goods while in possession of a delivery carrier, or lost deliveries. Therefore we do not reimburse, recredit, refund or insure packages subject to these acts caused by some worthless bastards in society.
